A leader's perspective...
In Vienna you can celebrate the finer things in life; art, music and Sacher torte. This grand old dame of classical Europe was once the stomping ground for Mozart, Klimt and the Austro-Hungarian rulers. The city overflows with palaces, galleries and buildings that are works of art in their own right. For all its imperial glory, this is a friendly city and a quick 'Gruss Gott' (hello) is all it takes to crack a smile from the locals. After an opera performance or a day spent admiring masterpieces, there is nothing better than sitting at an outdoor cafe, nibbling on a schnitzel and watching Viennese life waltz by.

For Chocolate’s Sake
Chocolate lovers will adore Vienna. On my list of highlights for any visitor to Vienna are a couple of special spots I have found to indulge in chocolate. First off is a cafe where they make hot chocolate out of real melted chocolate pieces. The presentation is totally unpretentious - it is served in a white mug with no umbrellas, no decoration, no cream on top, so you can enjoy just the best hot chocolate in the world. Afterwards, it's onto a cafe where we enjoy a traditional Viennese institution, the sacher torte. I don't know if it is the surroundings, the fact that it is the original, but for some reason there is no other sacher torte like it.
'The Kiss' in the Belvedere
A lot of travellers come to Vienna want to see the famous Gustav Klimt painting, 'The Kiss'. It can be admired in the Belvedere. This painting is something different. I hear all the time that people were disappointed with the Mona Lisa because it was so much smaller than they had expected, but I never hear that about 'The Kiss'. It is so colourful and glorious that it is not uncommon to stand in front of it for ages. It really is a masterpiece. The Belvedere also has other attractions including works by Schiele and Kokoschka, not to mention the magnificent the building which was once a palace and the manicured gardens.
