A leader's perspective...
Welcome to Wow! Maybe you're thinking "Is there a country called Wow?" There isn't, but I call Egypt like that because everywhere you go, you say "Wow!” There is such a mix of monuments: Pharaonic, Greco-Roman, Turkish, Coptic, Islamic. As for nature, it's a very magnificent tableau: the Red Sea, Mediterranean Sea, Nile, deserts, oases and mountains. Then there are the Egyptians, the people who cannot live without smiling. As an Egyptian, I feel so proud of my country, or shall I say, of my paradise? Working with Intrepid gives me the biggest chance to show the world how much I love it. So shall I hear you say "Wow" in my next trip?

Cool down in Cairo
If you are in the market for anything in Egypt, then your search starts and finishes at Cairo's Khan el-Khalili. This grand bazaar was built in 1382 and ever since has been Cairo's major trading centre. It's alive with historic atmosphere and leaves you in awe of its size and huge variety of goods. Aisles glisten with silver and gold jewellery, there are rows of carpets and alley upon alley of copper kitchenware. Never far from the chaos is a cafe where you can sit back and escape the frenzy. A famous meeting place for local artists is El-Fishawai Cafe, or Cafe of Mirrors, but nearby you'll find a traditional reviving treat. Served ice-cold in a tall glass, this thick juice tastes like the mango has just been plucked from the tree - it's a divine sweet pulp that provides the strength necessary to barter yourself a bargain.
Ras Abu Galum Dive Site
If you are heading to Dahab to dive the Red Sea, you will not regret heading to the remote Ras Abu Galum and Gabr El Bint, which can only be reached by camel. The journey out there is an adventure, packing up the camels with your tanks and gear and plodding along the coast. When you arrive you'll appreciate the convenience of gearing up on the beach for a shore entry. The actual dive is spectacular, with dramatic seascape of pinnacles and a steep drop-off. Follow the wall to the left, open ocean to your right and deep crevasse below. Marvel at the massive undamaged soft corals, trevally, jacks and even turtles.
